Peggy Zuris paints extraordinary images of our southwest and a variety of other personal observations. She conveys her enthusiasm for and appreciation of the beauty around her in vibrant canvases. Her art provides a haven into which she retreats to envelope herself in a world of color and texture. The positive emotion behind her work is evidenced by her celebration of light, intense color, and fluid movement.
Ms. Zuris attended New Mexico Highlands University. She then submitted her portfolio for a juried selection process and was accepted to the Kansas City Art Institute, Otis/Parson in Los Angeles and Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. After her training, she returned to New Mexico. Her education and exposure have provided Ms. Zuris with the opportunity to broaden her talents--the result of which is expressed in the dynamic creativity of her work.
